I used to think that a beautiful heart is a perfect heart, you know, ones that have never been broken, ones that does not know pain, shame or sorrow and then I found out that if the heart is not broken the beauty inside cannot be revealed.

I have come to embrace brokenness as true beauty. Yes brokenness is painful but it brings out the best or the worst in us. Beautiful hearts are hearts that pours out love when it’s broken. Beautiful hearts are hearts that are healed when broken.

Beautiful hearts are hearts that forgives even when there is no remorse for wrong actions. Beautiful hearts says forgive them Lord while “He”is still bleeding. Beautiful hearts are hearts that love when it would rather hate. Beautiful hearts are hearts that loves unconditionally. Beautiful hearts are hearts that does not hate even when it is exposed to hate.

Beautiful hearts are hearts that are never bitter even when it experiences bitterness. Beautiful hearts are strong hearts that sustains tremendous injury but decides to love again. Beautiful hearts will love not only friends but enemies too. Beautiful hearts are hearts that do good to their enemies. Beautiful hearts are hearts that chose to be broken so that others may enjoy abundant life. Beautiful hearts lay down His life for “His” friends.

Beautiful hearts are just made that way, Strong and resilient. No amount of pain and sorrow can change a beautiful heart into a bitter heart.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.(Proverbs 4:23)
