God will not pervert Justice. He is the only righteous judge. While we are busy caught up in the fight for Justice we must stop to listen to what God is saying about this situation in our country. Do not believe for one moment that God has removed himself from the us and we are left trying to figure out what we should do. God is always speaking but the problem is we are not listening. (Job 33:14-19) He speaks to us through dreams and visions, through pain and oppression, sickness and sorrow but we refuse to turn to Him.

“This is what the Lord says: “The people of Judah have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They have rejected the instruction of the Lord, refusing to obey his decrees. They have been led astray by the same lies that deceived their ancestors.” (Amos‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

America is doing the same thing that Israel did!! Slowly but surely we are rejecting God and raising up altars in our hearts to other gods. I know this will not be a popular message but nevertheless it’s the word of God for America and for the Church. Some will reject it and say how can a loving God cause us to suffer? (Job 36:12) others will accept it and repent and ask for forgiveness. When Job saw the error of his thinking he quickly repented. Job said, “I take back everything I said and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance. (Job 42:6)

If we are to heal as a nation, as a church, as a family we must embrace the idea of repentance. I know repentance is not a popular message but I know it’s a powerful message. Repentance disarms the enemy and renders him powerless. Repentance precedes revival! Repentance is a yielding to the will of God! Repentance is a course correction! Repentance is good medicine, it’s like antibiotic for a bacterial infection.

The problem with repentance is before we can repent we must admit wrong but often times our pride will keep us from admitting wrong. We don’t want to feel shame or embarrassment, we don’t want others to see that we are not perfect. We always try to share the good side of ourselves with others hoping that they will never see our faults and weaknesses. We are afraid that if they see our weaknesses they will not love us anymore. I think we should be able to see each other’s faults and love them anyway, that’s what Jesus did, Jesus saw that we had faults and weaknesses and came and apply His strength in the places where we are weak. What if we apply our strength to the areas where others are weak and allow them to apply their strength in the areas that we are weak?

I think what we should fear the most is living with the flaws rather than exposing them. Living with the flaws is like living with cancer and not knowing until it’s too late. True repentance is a matter of the heart, you must come to a place where you look inside the mirror and see the true condition of your heart. Are you loving people the way God love them? Are you resentful and bitter? Are you self-righteous and justify your own actions? Could it be that you are wrong and the other person is right? Could it be that God allow you to go through this because He is trying to show you the true condition of your heart? The best mirror in which to see your heart is pain, when you are crushed what’s on the inside is what will gush out. Job didn’t know that his heart was prideful until he was crushed. He had prided himself on always doing what was right by the standards of the flesh but he had no idea that there was a hidden sin in his heart only God knew it. So sometimes God will give us a mirror called pain so you can see what is in our hearts and it’s up to us to repent and be blessed or be stiffnecked and be rejected.

Black folks need to repent, white folks need to repent. Admit racism is wrong, admit racism is an evil spirit of hate that destroy perpetrators and victims alike. Hate is incapable of love therefore that evil spirit does not love white people no more than it hate black people. You must understand we are all in the same car heading over the cliff when we jump on the hate bandwagon. Let’s repent and turn around before we all fall of the cliff.

You may say I don’t need to repent because I have not done anything wrong. The truth is we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23) we can accused and point out the sin of racism and yes it is a sin and it is wrong and Justice will be served but sometimes we must wait to see Justice (Job 35:14) so don’t focus so much on what “they” do and miss the fact that you also have some sin issues. While we wait for Justice let us remember that we have some planks in our eyes. Let’s work on getting those planks out of our own eyes before we condemn others.

What evil have we done?
As a nation we sin when we pervert Justice, when we shed innocent blood, oppress our people, when we allow sexual perversion to become permissible, when we allow babies to be murdered in the womb, and forget about the orphans and the widows and those for whom nothing have been provided, we sin when we serve money more than we serve God.

As the church, we sin when we tolerate the spirit of Jezebel, we sin when we turn away from our first love, we sin when we pray to ancestral spirits, we sin when we bring sexual perversion to the altar for God to bless, we sin when we mix the profane with the holy. As a church we offer strange fire to the Lord. We sin when we refuse to pray. We sin when we make the Lord’s gospel about us and about money, we sin when we dilute the gospel until it is almost unrecognizable to suit the order of the day.

As a people we sin when we accuse God of being unjust, we sin when we allow hate to find a dwelling place in our hearts. We sin when we do not walk in love one to another. We sin when we dishonor others. We sin when we lie cheat and steal. We were born in sin and shaped iniquity. We are born sinners we have no right to throw stones.

Repentance is the only way to true victory over the real enemy. The nation of Nineveh heard the call of repentance and every man and beast fasted and repented and God relented from the disaster He had purpose to bring upon the nation

“People and animals alike must wear garments of mourning, and everyone must pray earnestly to God. They must turn from their evil ways and stop all their violence. (Jonah‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

If we repent like the people of Nineveh we will see the real Pentecost that we are all groaning to see. Let’s join hands and heart together, let’s come together on one accord because I hear a sound as of a mighty rushing wind!!! Sweeping through the streets of America!!! ( Acts 2:8) After this current season of Passover if we are able to repent and come together on one accord we will see an outpouring greater than that first day of Pentecost. Let’s repent!!
When Job repented the Lord restored his possessions and blessed him so that his latter days were greater than his former days.. (Job 42:10)

Let’s not remember the things of old for the Lord is doing a new thing! Stop looking back at was was and start peering intently at the new thing.

Let’s repent!!!
